Jeff Eichen At 17 years young studied Photography with Ansel Adams at the Yosemite workshop. Jeff went to Carmel to study with Brett Weston (son of Edward Weston) and then Bernard Freemesser at the University of Oregon in 1976. 1980 Jeff moved to the Netherlands to teach Photography with Byron Piniger (former Port Hadlock WA, resident + Icon) as a Teacher’s assistant and Exchange Student. “I knew that I was meant to teach what I have learned.”
Upon returning to the States, Jeff moved to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career in Architectural photography for over 15 years.
Never leaving his Art behind, Jeff had several Art shows through the years. After a successful professional Architectural Photography career in the mid to late 90’s Jeff returned to teaching Middle School photography in Topanga Canyon for 3 years.
1995 Jeff self taught himself Photoshop and was hired in 2001 in a large Digital Studio in Los Angeles making museum quality Giclee Prints for Commercial installations and interior Art for Museums. Jeff’s work has been displayed all over the world in Art Galleries and Commercial spaces.
Jeff now currently lives in Port Townsend and continues his life as a digital Artist, Instructor and Professional photographer. Specializing in Architecture Commercial and Residential photography, Product photography for brochures websites and now HD videos for clients and musicians.
